Hey Coaches,
As some of you noticed, we had a concession case at the round of 64 in the World Cup Play-Off.
In the match EnarionBB2 - Ubeltaeter, Ubeltaeter was loosing 2-1 and conceded turn 16, giving Enarion's team additional gold and SPPs.
Several coaches sent me a report about it, considering that it was rather suspicious.
I discussed with both coaches and there was no cheating involved. Ubeltaeter found that his opponent played very well and wanted to help him for the rest of the competition.
Even though it's been done in good faith, we can't allow Enarion to keep the SPP/Gold because it would give his team an unfair advantage over the rest of the teams involved in the Play-Off. That's why we'll remove 5 SPP from the Lineman "Aeloth Telcur" and remove the gold earned thanks to the concession.
And to avoid any further issues, concession is now forbidden during the Play-Off. If a player concedes, he will be out of the World Cup and the SPP/gold gained by his opponent will be removed.
Some of you might argue about this ruling, but as the promoter of the World Cup, our main priority is to give to each of you the same chances to win the competition. Independantly of the randomness and potential unfairness of Blood Bowl.
